Only Show Icon In Taskbar

By default the taskbar icon will display a caption and applications that are currently (in the form of buttons). With the tips below you can remove the caption and just show the icon only. That way you still have enough space at the same time if you run many applications.


Start the registry editor , I click the Start button - Run. Type regedit and press OK.
Go to the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Control Panel \ Desktop \ WindowMetrics
In the right panel look for string value MinWidth then change the value to -255. If the string value does not exist yet, you must create it by right clicking and select New - String Value.
Close the registry.
